Roughly a month after updating the Wi-Fi only version of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 to Android 5.0.2,
Samsung is now rolling out the same Android Lollipop version to the 8.4-inch variant. The Android 5.0.2 update is currently being rolled out in Samsung's home country of South Korea, but other countries should get the update soon enough.
The Android 5.0.2 firmware for the Wi-Fi only Galaxy Tab S 8.4 will roll out both over-the-air as well as through Samsung Kies. You can check for the OTA update by going to Menu >> Settings >> About device >> Software update >> Update. If you're the patient type, you can wait for the system to notify you when the update is available for download. The update clocks in at a hefty 1.5GB.
If you're using an LTE version of either Galaxy Tab S version, you're currently out of luck, as you'll probably have to wait a little more before getting a taste of Android 5.0 Lollipop on your tablet.
